After successfully building one of the nation’s most respected community association law firms, Kevin M. Hirzel has officially turned the page to a new chapter — as a full-time lentil farmer.

Kevin sold Hirzel Law in 2025 to pursue his lifelong dream of sustainable agriculture, swapping case law and board meetings for crop rotation and soil science. While the courtroom has been replaced by the combine, Kevin’s commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and strategic thinking remain unchanged — just redirected toward the land.

During his legal career, Kevin earned national recognition for his expertise in condominium and homeowners association law, authoring hundreds of articles, speaking at industry events, and building a firm rooted in education, innovation, and client service.

Though he no longer practices law, his influence remains embedded in the values of Hirzel Law — and perhaps one day, in a bag of Michigan-grown organic lentils at your local farmers market.
