Lia Sharon is an attorney with Hirzel Law, PLC’s Collections Department. She brings a multidisciplinary approach to her practice, drawing from her diverse educational background and experience in law, public health, and policy.
Ms. Sharon earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Relations and Policy from Michigan State University’s James Madison College, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geoscience. She then went on to receive a Master of Public Health from Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine, where she developed a strong foundation in regulatory compliance and public policy.

She obtained her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School, where she was awarded the Provost Scholarship in recognition of her academic achievements. During law school, Ms. Sharon honed her negotiation skills by participating in the Transactional Law Competition and was actively involved in several student organizations, including the Women’s Law Caucus and the Wayne State Health Law Society, where she served as Treasurer.

Before joining Hirzel Law, Ms. Sharon gained valuable collections experience at The Rickel Law Firm, PC, where she negotiated payment plans and settlements, ensuring effective resolution for clients while maintaining compliance with state and federal debt collection laws. Additionally, she served as a Legal Analyst with the State of Michigan’s Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA), where she regulated licensed cannabis businesses, led compliance hearings, and negotiated settlement offers on behalf of the State. Her experience in regulatory enforcement and administrative law provides her with a keen understanding of compliance matters and dispute resolution. 

Ms. Sharon’s well-rounded background enables her to approach legal issues with a strategic and analytical mindset. She is committed to providing effective legal solutions for clients and guiding them through real estate and collections challenges.
