Kevin Hirsch is a highly accomplished attorney with a distinguished career in commercial and employment litigation. With over 19 years of litigation experience, Mr. Hirsch has practiced in state and federal courts in Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, and California, as well as before administrative agencies, including the NLRB and EEOC.

Mr. Hirsch earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with High Distinction in History from The University of Michigan in December 1994. During his undergraduate years, he maintained a stellar academic record and received Class Honors for his exceptional performance from 1992 to 1994. He attended The University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor, where he earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree cum laude in May 1998.

Mr. Hirsch’s career as an attorney has been marked by outstanding achievements, dedication, and a commitment to achieving justice. He began his legal journey as an Associate at Vercruysse Metz & Murray, P.C. in 1998, where he litigated complex employment law cases, including those involving the Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Title VII, among others. His role extended to advising clients on personnel matters to mitigate legal risks.

In 2001, Mr. Hirsch joined Young & Susser, P.C., Southfield, MI, where he took on a variety of responsibilities. His expertise in commercial and employment litigation, intellectual property, and accounting malpractice matters shone through as he actively participated in numerous trials, mediations, and arbitrations. One of his notable successes during this period was the management of a breach of confidentiality agreement case, resulting in a favorable summary judgment ruling and a $10 million verdict in favor of a Tier 2 automotive supplier. Hr. Hirsch’s dedication and legal expertise led him to Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, P.C. in Southfield, MI, where he served as both an Associate and later as a Partner. During his tenure, he handled a wide range of cases, including those related to shareholder oppression, defamation, copyright and trademark infringement, and breach of contract. His strategic and results-driven approach was evident as he secured a $1.2 million judgment following a bench trial in a breach of contract case against a luxury home builder.

In 2018, Mr. Hirsch became a Partner at Cohen Lerner & Rabinovitz, P.C. in Royal Oak, MI. In this role, he took on a leadership position and was responsible for overseeing diverse commercial and employment litigation matters. His achievements included obtaining summary judgment on behalf of a Fortune 500 company in a case involving employment discrimination, hostile work environment, and retaliation claims. He also served as an independent investigator for a race and national origin discrimination claim against a global automotive company. Kevin’s strategic counsel on employment issues and his ability to initiate litigation for the resolution of intellectual property disputes further solidified his reputation as an accomplished attorney.
