Kevin Hirzel Presents on Fannie Mae Condo Lending Guidelines at the LACA Spring Educational Dinner

Kevin Hirzel, Managing Member of Hirzel Law, PLC, was a featured speaker at the Lakeshore Association of Condominium Associations (LACA) Spring Educational Dinner, held Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at The Pinnacle Center in Hudsonville, Michigan.

His presentation, “Condo Lending Crackdown: How to Keep Your Association off the Blacklist,” walked condominium board members and property managers through Fannie Mae’s 2026 lending guidelines and the most common reasons a community can become ineligible for conventional financing — an issue that directly affects buyers, sellers, and property values in any Michigan community association. Mr. Hirzel also highlighted several recent changes to the guidelines that boards should begin planning for now, and closed the evening with a live Q&A session.

Board members who want to dig into the details can read Mr. Hirzel’s breakdown on the Michigan Community Association Law Blog: Fannie Mae’s New 2026 Condominium Lending Guidelines.

The event brought together board members, property managers, and industry professionals for an evening of education, and also featured presentations from David Weaver of Nederveld, Inc. and Vince Luczak, President of the Nautical Nook Condominium Association. Hirzel Law thanks LACA and sponsor Coldbrook Insurance Group LLC for hosting.
